O.K. *sigh* So my trip a few days ago to Walmart........Lets just say I walked away with a headache. Now, Let me just say this is based on my Walmart where I live, this store in my area already doesn't have the best reputation. I usually shop at Walmart when I am head down the hill to work, but since I am not working right now I had decided to brave my local Walmart.
Good new or Bad news First :)
Bad News
First of all the Walmart is crowded and a mess. They were out of almost everything I needed on my list. They don't even carry boxed mashed potatoes (one item on my list) I had a hard time finding a worker to help me. They would just usually point in a direction and send me on my way. I was looking for the travel section and one work just pointed and said over in H-A-B. Luckily I am a couponer so I know that means Health and Beauty, but what about other customers. I then walked around for another 15 minutes looking for the travel section.
Good News
They did take all my coupons. They did accept my Target coupons, but not with ease. First they argued that they only take competitors manufacture coupons. Which that would not make sense.
A manufacture coupon is from the company who actually makes that products...
(See Def below)
A competitors coupon would be a coupon from another store. example Target Web Coupon, Walgreen's in ad Coupons.. (See Def below)
It took three girls like 20 minutes to figure out how to take the Target coupon I had. They were very nice through the whole process, but seriously Walmart train your employees. I honestly think they were a little embarrassed on not knowing the proper procedure.
In the end I am not sure when the next time I will be heading off to Walmart again....even though I really want to score my free yogurt!! Like I said before this is a personal opinion on my local Walmart. Some of you may be blessed to have a great Walmart close by. If so that is great I think there is def some great potential for coupon shopping at Walmart. I only hope that my new Super Walmart will have it together. My main reason for my trip was to test out the use of competitors coupons. They did take them so that was a success!! I did score 6 sponges for $2.04 which is a pretty good deal. Considering I used to pay 3.99 for a 4 pack.
*So in the midst of typing this. I just had a revelation.. Why didn't I call corporate and get the answers from them. lol Hey cut me some slack I am blonde. Well I called but no answers just a recording so I am going to contact them by email, which is better then I will have it in writing and hopefully all will be clarified. I am also going to mention the lack of items and poor customer service at my stores. If you have had a great experience feel free to email them. Positive comments are also important as negative. If someone is doing a great job then they deserve praise right?!*
Manufacture Coupons-
Coupons issued by manufacturers offering consumers specific amounts off the purchase price of one or more of the manufacturer's products.
Competitors Coupons-
This is the term meaning "of related chains." For example, grocery stores will take other grocery store's coupons and drug stores will take other drugs store coupons.
